NaNoWriMo is hard. I'm already behind on it by about a week, but I will see how much I get done next week while I'm on vacation. *crosses fingers*

The 100% uptime guarantee offered by this specific provider is specific to network and power, nothing else. Scheduled maintanance doesn't count, any pre-notified downtime doesn't count, etc. I think that offering 100% uptime with purely network and power should be possible.

Dual backbone providers into your primarily switches with multiple failover points.

Dual power systems.

Overall, sure. Its not something that is going to happen all the time -- on a monthly basis, however, it should be possible to end up with 100% if you set up your systems correctly. Sure, there may be times that a major event occurs and everything fails, multiple OC12s simply drop, the city cuts all power to the building at the same time as they sever the fiber ... but these should be significant exceptions.

Not to knock the provider you're talking about, but who can provide 100% uptime? I've never seen anything with 99% uptime, because there are times where reboots have to happen, the aforementioned power outages happen, when no one pays attention and something dies, etc. Granted, you'll never see a provider say, "64% uptime guaranteed or your money back, if our accounting system is working!", but I think it foolish someone would advertise anything more than 99.9% uptime.

No doubt! I completely agree. We watched the same exact show and commented on the fact that the bread is exactly what makes or breaks the cheesesteak! Its kind of amusing.

Personally, the whole concept of cheeze whiz just throws me off, but the bread is THE thing.

I'd be walking more too. Get out of the droll existance of corporate business and reality, fall back into the idyllic times of yore. :) Man. I'm getting old!

Just the mention of a business trying the spam route generally raises my hackles, and I expect the hackles of many 'net users. It may increase traffic (likely useless traffic.. who actually clicks on spam messages anyhow?), but at what reputation cost?

I agree 100%. Untargetted traffic only helps if you're building revenue through ad views. And there's next to no money in that, though it's not a bad thing to add as a suplement. But if your primary goal is building revenue through the sale of a product or service, untargetted traffic is a senseless waste of money.
